Recently Apple introduced a new security announcement. They now require that app users need to have the option to Sign in with Apple, whenever another third-party sign-on system is offered (e.g. Sign in with Facebook).
As Shoutem is always striving to be up-to-date with all the changes on the market, you can now set this up for your iPhone app users.
Sign in with Apple allows you to set up a user account in your system, complete with name, verified email address, and unique stable identifiers that allow the user to sign in to your app with their Apple ID. Once a user sets up their account, they can sign in anywhere you deploy your app.
How to set up Sign in with Apple?
This feature can be enabled in Settings → Users → General → Authentication providers
Choose Apple Button Style
The Apple Sign In button can be black or white, depending on the app’s background color. If the Shoutem app has a light background, the button should be black (dark mode enabled) and vice versa.
After you have taken the steps above, this is how the log in screen will look like in the live app:
Sign in with Apple button is styled per Apple’s official guidelines.
In case your app was already live, after enabling Sign in with Apple, you should contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we will resubmit the app to stores.
