Multi card loyalty program should be used when you have stores operating in different locations. There are different ways you can configure loyalty program with Shoutem. In this article we will show you how to configure and use multi card loyalty program.
Configuration in the builder
App screens settings
To configure multi card loyalty program, you will first need to add stores. Click the “plus” icon to add screens. Scroll to “Commerce” -> “Loyalty” and select “Stores”.
Now go to app screens and click “Stores.” You’ll notice three tabs: Stores, Rewards and Layout.
Let’s configure stores first. First drop-down menu allows you to configure stores sorting. Let’s select “Name” here. Second drop-down menu allows you to configure sorting – ascending or descending. If you want to rename your screens shortcut from “Stores” to something else, you can do it by clicking the ellipsis icon in the upper right corner.
Now, let’s add some stores to our app. Click “Edit items.” You will see modal window with familiar item editor. Click “Add item” and insert your store name, address, photo, description and other relevant data. Save. Repeat this for every store you want to have in your Loyalty app.
After you’ve added your stores, add rewards that stores offer in the loyalty. Go back to “Stores” in your “Screens” by selection “Stores” in “Main navigation.” Now click the “Rewards” tab.Now click “Edit items” followed by “Add item” and insert the title, description, photo and other data for your reward. Notice that you can select the validity of the reward, eg. the time frame in which the reward will be displayed, you can choose how much points customers needs to earn in order to redeem the reward and how much of that reward you have in stock. Here you need to select which store will be offering this respective reward. Once your rewards are saved for different stores, for easier access, you can toggle “Select a store” drop-down menu in the “Rewards” tab to moderate the rewards for each respective store.
After you added rewards, you can also choose between one of the layouts offered.
Loyalty program settings
Click Settings > Loyalty. Enable the loyalty program by clicking on “Get started” button. Now, the settings will show. In a top menu you can select to which store/location you want to apply your settings to.
Below is “Program settings” section. You can select how many points your customers will receive for certain actions in the app. Points can be configured for Visit and for Purchase. If Purchase is enabled, you can choose how many points customers will get per currency unit (e.g. 1 point per 1 USD).
In the app, each of those actions will be verifiable by cashier with either QR code scan or PIN verification.
As additional option for the purchase, you can choose should a receipt code be required for purchase verification.
Below “Program settings” you can configure “Cashier settings.” Here you should add cashiers to respective stores. Please note that, in order for your multi card Loyalty program to be fully operational, you have to set cashiers for each respective store you want to use with your app.
Multi card loyalty program in the app
Now, let’s see how your multi card loyalty program operates in the app. Preview the app directly in browser or with Shoutem preview app.
Imagine you are the customer that just has made a purchase in the store listed in the app. Log in to the app. If you don’t have an account, create it now. Once logged in, click “Stores” shortcut. That will open up the list of stores. Click on the store where you just made the purchase. You will see the rewards this store list, as well as how much points you need to collect in order to redeem the reward. Next screen allows cashier to confirm your purchase which will, as a result, give you the points which you, then, can use to redeem that store’s rewards.
Cashier can now enter the PIN to confirm purchase. This will give you points. Number of points depends on the money the customer spends on the purchase and rules that grants points for currency unit and/or visit.
Redeeming the rewards
Once your customer has enough points to redeem some of the rewards on the store, they can, while in the store, click on the reward that is listed for that store and show the screen to the cashier who will confirm the redemption with the PIN. Customer then can take the reward.
An additional option for a cashier is to log in to your app with his cashier login and use the built-in QR code scanner to confirm either purchase or reward redemption. Yet additional option for the cashier is to type in the code from the receipt which can serve for internal processing of the rewards redeemed.
